Steven and Tom Visit VENICE ITALY

Steven and Tom Visit VENICE ITALY

Venice is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. Venice has no roads! Canals are lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica. During our visit, the city flooded! Workers erected temporary walkways for tourists. The islands on which the city is built are connected by about 400 bridges. Photography by Steven Skelley and Thomas Routzong. Original music by Steven Buhler. Sunny Harbor Publishing.
