Athens is known as the birthplace of democracy, arts, science and philosophy. Athens is the home of Plato, Socrates, Pericles, Euripides, Sophocles, Aeschylus. Athens is one of the world’s oldest cities with a recorded history of 3.400 years. The Acropolis was built during 5th century BC. The Acropolis is a cultural UNESCO World Heritage site.
